While in a History cover lesson in school, I decided to "borrow" an empty Exercise book and doodle in it. In doing so, I created the foundations of the New SAO Duel System.

It's still gotta be altered but for tonight that's it really. Hope ya like! I will of course enable 1 Hit mode, battle to the death and the 3rd feature I always forget.

However try to remember the overlapping textures on texture borders. It would be a vast improvement as edges are far too visible ATM. cheers

Dueling someone doesn't really have an effect on you in the end though. it's not like you receive something if you win.

I'm adding an AFK verb which freezes you but makes you untouchable.

And winner of the duel could get like 0.25 EXP.

Thats a graet idea Haruka, how about you reward xp according to rank- if somebody weaker fights somebody stronger- the weaker gets "BONUS" points and vice versa.

Random lvl 15 player walking trough the forest. Suddenly a group of lvl 25 PKers appear from their hiding spaces. They run at full speed towards the shocked player, but then suddenly AFK appears above the player's head. This was mayor business! 5 lvl 25 PKers tried to hit the person but to no avail... The person couldn't even be hurt...

^ result of AFK verb
(Could also happen to every random mob/boss in the game ;D)

Yep that is a good idea.

Perhaps try something like this:
xp gained = 2 x ( (loser's level - winner's level) squared)
So if a level 10 beats a level 12, they get 8 xp

Also, so that there is no duel farming, xp is lost by the lose:
xp lost = 2x (winners level - loser's lever)
So the level 12 beaten by the level 10 lost 4xp

In this scenario it seems right. Try it yourselves. Do you guys agree?
