How RP?

Hey guys, just wanted to ask, how important is the RP in this game for you and how far will you take it?
I personally am planning on being almost completely separate in-game to on the forums. In-game I will only respond to my IGN and nickname and my only 'prior knowledge' of other players will be what they posted on the forums concerning their in-game self.
How will you live in SAO?

I will and always will RP. I'm obviously not going to RP "Exor takes out his sword and starts F***ing shit up." But I will definantly RP the talking part.

I guess that ooc chat is the forums and skype. Most of the time we are ourselves on the forums.

Is it allowed to be a rapist in-game?

I guess you can play as a rapist in-game Niti. (Oberon)
But I doubt that there will be a "Rape" button.
Instead you can probably corner/trap people and erm... you know...
But some guilds will not stand for that.

I've been on so many strict RPGs. Played one for 5 years straight.. I plan to stay I'm character. But what about the people who don't? What are the penalties?

Suggesting is powerful on these forums as we can see how the devs listen. make sure they are half-decent though. (No turtle-mode etc.)

First, they swim fast, but if you get them out of the tank and put them on the carpet they sprint like a hyperactive cheetah!

My guild will be a neutral guild that does what it sees as right.
We may be seen as good, we may be seen as bad.

I think RP is a great aspect in this game. If it was PvP, I wouldn't be as tempted to play it.

It looks like everyone is pretty much gonna Rp and stay in character but there will not be combat rp-ing, just combat initiation by chat.

I will most likely reward heavy Role-Players though.

Yes. Heavy Role-Players are people who stay as much as possible in character. In some games it is even know that heavy Role-Players walk to every destination instead of running unless the story they make and follow tells them to run. (Being late for an appointment for example.)

They basically just follow the game as if it was their own life and to go back to the running example... It would be very illogical for any person to run full-time to everywhere they go.

e.g Haruka smirks/drops his gown on the floor.
Attacking or Fighting is just attacking like in PvP. Clear enough to understand?

Besides I've made it so Ilfang attacks on-sight. Barely anyone will be able to type whilst fighting a 20K HP Boss.

I clearly just don't want to see "Lololololololol ur liek a baws at 1 handed swrd mastery dude" and internet speech as such filling SAO. It would only make it senseless.

RPing isn't hard. Just narrating what you do. Not everything has to be RPed though changing clothes is an obvious Yes Yes.

awesome....ive never been much of a fan of those games where you have to roleplay everything out ...it just gets slow ...but roleplaying in character is pretty cool
